Overview

This program is for welders who have completed the AWS welding course and wish to proceed to more advanced welding credentials. It is also a requirement for persons whose job responsibilities include inspecting welding works. Welding inspectors oversee the work of other welders and they welding jobs to ensure that they meet up to the stipulated standards and follow laid down procedures.

The course covers: visual inspection procedures; terms and definitions; welding processes and typical welding defects; weld measurements; typical documentation and requirements; practical inspection and reporting. Participants will become acquainted with the international standards, codes and regulations that apply to various kinds of welding jobs.
